The WS Compact Scale is a straightforward, durable scale for everyday weighing and counting tasks. ABS housing and a grade 304 stainless steel pan hold up to daily industrial or lab use, and a bright backlit display with 20mm-tall digits keeps results easy to read.

Simple to use, built to last

Display and controls

The backlit LCD is clearly visible in most lighting, and dual-purpose keys switch between standard weighing and parts counting. An audible overload alarm and low-battery indicator warn you before something goes wrong.

Power

The WS3 and WS6 run on 2 x AA batteries (not included). The WS-Plus 30 is different: it has a built-in rechargeable battery you top up over USB-C, so there's nothing to buy or replace.

Where you'll actually use it

  • General laboratories and workshops
  • Warehouse and light industrial weighing
  • Food service and portioning, on the lower-capacity WS3/WS6 models
  • Inventory and parts counting, using the built-in counting mode

Choosing your capacity

The WS3 weighs up to 3000g at 0.5g readability, the WS6 up to 6000g at 1g, and the WS-Plus 30 up to 30000g at 1g. Choose based on the heaviest single item you expect to weigh regularly, and factor in the WS-Plus 30's rechargeable battery if you need it away from mains power.

Frequently Asked Questions

What batteries does the WS scale take?

The WS3 and WS6 run on 2 AA batteries, which aren't included in the box. The WS-Plus 30 is different — it has a built-in rechargeable battery you top up over USB-C, so there's nothing to buy or replace.

Can I count parts with this scale, not just weigh them?

Yes, it has a built-in counting mode alongside normal weighing, so you can use it to count small identical parts by weight as well as check total mass.

How precise is the WS-Plus 30 compared to the WS3 and WS6?

The WS-Plus 30 reads to 1g at a 30kg capacity, while the WS3 reads down to 0.5g (3kg capacity) and the WS6 to 1g (6kg capacity). Pick the model based on how fine a reading you need versus how much weight you're putting on it.

Is the WS scale suitable for a wet or dusty work area?

The housing is ABS plastic with a stainless steel pan, which handles everyday knocks and spills reasonably well. For a washdown or harsh environment, one of Adam's dedicated washdown scale ranges would be a safer bet.
